WTAMU Class of 2024

Each academic year brings a new class of graduates from West Texas A&M. Although these classes have a lot in common, they also all have differences that make each class stand out uniquely on its own. The Class of 2024 has a wide range of passions and interests; with them, they are ready to leave their unique mark on the world. This class stands out with their own sense of fashion, music taste, and beliefs based on the personal experiences this class went through.


Madeline Guinn, a senior nursing major from Amarillo, Texas, is involved with Delta Zeta and the West Texas Nursing Student Association on campus. Her style and fashion can best be described as athletic leisure.

Regarding music, Madeline rotates alternative rock, indie, and hip-hop/rap playlists.

“I believe the class of 2024 persevered through peak pandemic as we ended our high school career and began college. We had to navigate the beginning of college with little to no social interactions, limited in-person courses, and social distancing overall.”

Some advice that Madeline has for future WT students is, “Get involved! The best way to make friends and have a great college experience is to be involved in any way!”

Jeanine Fabbri, a graduating senior majoring in digital communication and media, is from Canadian, Texas. She's active in Media Minds and The Prairie News on campus, channeling her passion for digital journalism. With a passion for style, Jeanine's wardrobe blends streetwear with classic elegance, characterized by clean lines and a touch of sophistication. Regarding music, Jeanine's playlist reflects her diverse taste, spanning from house to alternative pop, hip-hop, and R&B. “Each class has its unique characteristics, shaped by their time. The class of 2024 are putting themselves first and focusing on their personal and financial well-being as they look to launch their careers,” said Fabbri. For first-year students just starting at WT, Jeanine advises embracing academic and personal growth opportunities. Getting involved in clubs and activities of interest and stepping out of one's comfort zone is crucial for self-discovery and skill-building. She emphasizes that networking is essential to future career success.

Miguel Celis is a graduating senior majoring in athletic training from Perryton, Texas. On campus, he's deeply involved in the athletic training program and is a front desk attendant at the Virgil Henson Activity Center.

Describing his style as simplistic and comfortable with a pop of color, Miguel's wardrobe exudes effortless charm. Regarding music, Miguel gravitates towards R&B and hip-hop but enjoys a variety of genres as long as the music resonates with him.

As part of the class of 2024, Miguel believes the challenges of the pandemic have uniquely shaped their college journey. Miguel emphasizes the importance of a sense of accomplishment and perseverance for the class of 2024.

Miguel advises first-year students embarking on their WT journey: "Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there and aim for the best, but always be prepared for the unexpected."

From Wenatchee, Washington, Darius Carlson is a graduating senior majoring in sports & exercise science focusing on human performance. Darius's style can be summed up in one word: simple.

When it comes to music, Darius enjoys a diverse range but consistently finds himself drawn to Kanye West and Gunna.

For Darius and the class of 2024, swagger is the defining characteristic.

Prioritizing financial success, Darius believes in the importance of "getting money" to the class of 2024.

To first-year students embarking on their WT journey, Darius offers reassurance: "It’s going to seem hard, but it's worth it in the end."
